I can't believe this is still an issue. WAY overpriced secretary.  A chimp could do that job.

but ya need a 'chimp' with the right connections. Remember, rotterdam now has a supervisor that does NOT have a clue. And neither do most of the new board members. they will govern from the seat of their pants!

Like the rest of the libs that run schenectady.....rotterdam will also be governed by the 'pay to play', patronage jobs and personala political motivations and power grabbing being the driving force.

Ta hell with us!

A Confidential Secretary would normally be someone who can assist the Supervisor with the day-to-day business of the town.  In many instances, an admin assistant and/or secretary runs the show when the
Supervisor is unavailable.  How can the proposed candidate do this when she doesn't have a clue about Rotterdam?

on the attorney - sounds like another version of what happened to all of the BOCES attorneys awhile back

and on the Confidential Secretary - they must be pulling money from the weed control line of the budget - maybethe past admin didn't pull enough cash out - seems to be a lot left

just wait till Holly Valano's(sp) relative goes full time at the town, there must be some special trees up at the (FDG)mansion

and last weeks headline was 6 terminated for lack of cash

so is it CHANGE or LIE

the big upset will come when the town clerk fights back and doesn't hand over the keys to Ms.Marco and her partners Ms Medea(sp) and Ms Cognetta(sp) Eunice might be a Party Lady but she wont take it up the .....

the Confidential Secretary ties are proof of who's the captain of this boat - some one was sold a bill of goods

FDG join hands with Eunice and turn the selector to "Backwash"  - the principal, the engineer, and the FOILer used you for their agenda! they dont need your vote and....you will be left to rot at the er' dam

the curtain has fallen and Nikki is singing

Her qualifications are that she is a friend of Mr. Delgallo.

Mr. Surprise has a five year contract.

Whew, I am also glad to see Mr Surprise staying although I don't believe he has a "signed" contract.  I believe he has a term appointment and may be removed from office for just cause.  Better yet, Mr Surprise staying on means another round of staff cuts in the Assessor's Office.  Nice guy that Mr Surprise. He stays on but cuts loose town residents from their jobs.  But I am glad he is there to face the heat of the new admin.  Like a living hell.  Scorch the earth Mr Surprise, just like you did in New Lebanon eh?

At least thats what my friends at the "new" Rotterdam Sr Center are saying.

Find just cause, and fire him.  Or don't, and keep him.  Del Gallo should do what's right.

When FDG campaigned in our neighborhood, he promised that, if/when elected, he was going to "fire Surprise."   He didn't mince any words, the promise was to fire him!   And to think that the voters actually believed him!

Pretty sad that an appointment like Mr Surprise could wipe out an entire administration but he did.  Wonder how he sleeps at night not knowing when the "grim reaper" will pay him a visit for his crimes against humanity eh?

That's quite a promise for del Gallo to make...unless he finds just cause.  If he can't...then as del Gallo so aptly put it, off with their heads!

I don't think Mr DelGallo's administration will rise or fall on the termination of Mr Surprise.  If there aren't drastic changes in the overall approach to public service from the Rotterdam Assessor's Office I'd be shocked.  Mr Surprise has a long history of abusive behavior and Mr Tomassone appointed him anyways.  Why not just ask Mr Surprise for his resignation?  He might "Surprise" us eh?

Peeper, del Gallo PROMISED to fire him.  You're OK with your supervisor making pre-election promises he can't keep when elected?  Whether other do it is not the point.  If he does it, he should be OUT!  Perhaps we should ask for HIS resignation?!

I guess your right TBV.  Didn't Mr Tomassone promise Mr Macejka he would reappoint him then he dumped him for Mr Surprise?  Maybe thats why Steve and his crew are out.  When your right your right TBV.  Off with Mr Surprises' head or else eh?
