Yes, the problem is in the western part of the County-and until he is finally removed {kicking and screaming} the REPS are done. Yes, once new leadership is installed many will flock back to the REPS-from blanks-from CONS-from NNTP-from WF from even DEMS. Change is finally coming!

This just in.....John Mertz for new REP County Chair, Brad Littlefield for new Duanesburg REP Chair. Also have a Rotterdam REP chair, new City Chair, new Glenville chair and New Nisky REP chair ready to roll. All will be changed by the end of this month.

Brad Littlefield for new Duanesburg REP Chair

Benny,

Thanks for the expressed vote of confidence.  I'm not an enrolled Republican.
Further, I am not interested in the position.  There are many Duanesburg
Republicans who are qualified to act in that position if the current Chair decides
not to continue in to serve in that role.

It is certainly not for me to decide nor do I get a vote.

Benny ~ from the word on the street, sounds like you might be on to something ~ only with regard to County, Niskayuna, City and Rotterdam.  Apparently this weekend the town leaders will be asking Buchanan to step aside for the good of the party.

If he refuses ~ I understand that a county wide meeting will take place with a vote of no-confidence.  Sounds like approximately 20 non-committee Republicans from the City are poised to make trouble with Buchanan ~ along with a smaller group from Niskayuna.

Rumor has it that Buchanan is sick of job and told someone if they want him out he could care a less ~ this should be interesting.  To make matters worse ~ sounds like the TU is working on a story about the new Rotterdam Chairman Tebano and his ties to defector Santabarbara and Tom's sidekick Jerry the mouse.

You are on to something also Felipe. The Rotterdam chair is another Tebano? The TU is about to blow the lid off the musical chairs. The "western County" is a problem? How about central and east? If he had any decency he would have resigned in disgrace-2 months ago. Angelo was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Look to Mr. Mertz to pick up the pieces. Return of the Mack. Put on your sneakers.

Buchanan said, “Our options are allowing the No New Tax Party to run the Republican Party, shutting them out or picking something in between. All options are on the table.”
Said Buchanan, “Any no tax, low tax group that can garnish 17 percent to 18 percent of vote has a place at the table.”

It's not about working together for posterity's sake or tradition or the love-fest of "It takes a village to raise a politician"......

NNTP needs to STAY AWAY......let the Reps do whatever it is they need to do to transfuse their blood or die all on their own.......DONT TREAD ON ME......

People need to stop quoting Buchanan.  Buchanan should run for cover.  He has destroyed the Rep. party.  All good Reps should DEMAND HIS RESIGNATION NOW!!!!!!!

NNTP needs to keep their distance from the Republican infighting.  No need to get mired up in party politics.  They must not forget why they were appealing and garnered 17% of the vote.  It's because 4 guys were able to stay on message and get over their minor differences and find common ground, without a party boss scripting them.  Four individuals with the ability to lead.  Their message and charisma are genuine, and their supporters are politically astute and motivated.  Let the Republican Party come to you on your terms... You hold the aces.

I well understand what you are trying to impart.  But people voted for them or the Dems because they wanted change.  You should not glorify them as if they were the second coming.  The went "rogue".  Ok people like individualism.  However, look again.  Nobody knows what page McGarry is on. Mertz wil go with anybody who smiles at him.  O'Connor appears totally disinterested and BL wants to be the uniter. (maybe)  BL certainly distinguished himself.   I could be wrong but  don't see the NNTP as having sustainability.  They are going to need to melt into a major party. Maybe BL can emerge as a force. As far as getting "mired" into party politics--unless you are living in a bunker--they are already mired.  We just don't know for sure which parties they have chosen.

You are right. They do hold the cards but more importantly, TB is out of friends and is getting very desperate. He will come crawling, he has to...

NNTP doesn't need to 'melt' into anything/one......that is what our schools of present day teach....but, look at history.....

NNTP IS viable..........and in America THAT is what we stand for........DONT TREAD ON ME.......

They're not the second coming, and as we are finding out not just locally but nationally, it is the Republican Party that has gone "rouge".  Point being in my prior post, if the NNTP candidates are perceived as meddling in Republican Party politics, it could turn off the voters that came out and voted for them in the past election.  17% voted for a candidate that has never been involved in politics, on a party line that has never existed.  They motivated voters that for the most part would not have come out to vote for the Democrat or Republican candidates.

I'm saying the NNTP should run their own slate of candidates and twist the arm of the Republican Party to endorse their candidates.  The talk and rumor of any of these NNTP candidates becoming the new Republican Party Chair would be a miserable failure.IMHO

The NNTP no longer needs to "twist arms". It's all sitting from them on a silver platter. All fiscal CONS must return under one umbrella. The REPS must return to fiscal conservatism and pro-life roots. Don't forget that half the NNTP candidates are REPS. They only ran separately because of the total stupidity.

John Mertz would be a great new REP County Chair. He knows the problems and can hit the ground running. Can't afford another 6 years of wandering in the wilderness.

But people voted for them or the Dems because they wanted change.

Perhaps 'some' people voted for the dems for a liberal change. But....the dems won ONLY because of the NNTP candidates. People who voted for the NNTP were for CONSERVATIVE, SMALL GOVERNMENT. They clearly would have either voted for a rep or a NNTP candidate.  Surely not a tax and spend liberal candidate. And they voted a third party line cause they were all sick and tired of 'politics as usual' from the current dems/reps/cons.

Like I said....they are all the same. And yes....the NNTP is like the 'second coming'. And I believe there is yet more to come!

Benny, John Mertz knows the problems in the Republican Party because he created most of them! Tom is NOT the problem. John Mertz is destroying the party and you want to put him in charge? Looks like you are trying to put the nail in the coffin for Republicans in Schenectady...
