The Rensselaer County REP chair is stepping down. Although he still controls the County-they took loses in Troy. This is called decency and giving the party a chance to rebuild. Compare that to this County-you can implode the REP party take it from 7 to 2 County seats and still "lead".

George will never run for Congress. Look at the enrollment numbers. What he should look at is State Senate-Farley is very long in the tooth. George in the majority in the State Senate makes sense. If Jimmy would make his intentions known it would help many others.

Yep, the enrollment numbers are terrible since the district includes Albany and Schdy. And with the continuous declines in the County Reps enrollment numbers, it would be an up-hill battle for sure. That is why I believe the Senate is the correct option for him this year. Farley needs to retire, enough is enough. We need young Conservative candidates. Then it would open up George's spot for some new blood to step into.

amedore would NEVER win against Tonko ---- Albany would vote for him lockstep. albany represents that largest segment of the CD. Tonko would destroy Amedore in Mont Co. It wouldnlt even been close. his best best is to stay in the assembly

I agree about Albany but not Mont County. Tonko worked that area hard for George's opponents and got crushed there. I would be interested to see the results from there between the two of them. Tonko is getting some baggage with all the issues he's voting for.

Tonko would bury Amedore especially in Montgomery County.  Mark Blanchfield was an unknown entity there.  No name recognition.  I offer this scenario out to you.  If Amedore could get the endorsement of Jerry Jennings (it's possible) Jerry knows Amedore and Amedore is putting up some housing in an area called the NNORC he could win.  Question why would Jennings do that?  Because Tonko came out and backed Shawn Morris in the Mayorl race this year.  Jennings usually likes to get even for crap like that--he doesn't take disloyalty well.  All of that providing Jennings doesn't end up being the candidate for Lt. Governor.

Hey Bumble you can make a whole meal from table scraps.

Table scraps are half eaten, thrown in the garbage and end up in the DUMP! I'm not a stray dog and am not quite that desperate.

I find it disgusting that Angelo Santabarbara is simply another political whore.

Has he done anything for any of you? Hardly.

And so is George Amedore. A whore.

And so is Tedisco. A whore with a vacation plan.

And so is Hugh Farley. I just got one of his fliers in the mail and could do nothing more than tear it up in disgust.

And we all know that politics in Schenectady and Schenectady County is nothing more than a power struggle to spend our money, what little we have. I'd swear they import these welfare critters just to get the votes.

Enough with the whoring around. Isn't anyone out there with some real substance? Santabarbara Cheeze??? Give me a freaking break!

So, it's not the cheese that stinks?

And for each of us who expresses our disgust on this board, there are countless hundreds or thousands of others.

I, also, ripped up Farley's mailing without reading it.  He has been resting on his laurels for the past several
terms.  (Past) time for him to retire.  We keep returning the incumbants to office expecting different results.
So, who are the real fools?

jennings is too much of a dem or support amedore, even though he and tonko do not like each other.

also, if you think amedore would beat tonko in mont co, you have been drinking the cool aid too long -- tonko is more well know, more liked and lives in amsterdam. they love him there --- my guess is he would beat amedore in mont co two to one.

I think we should meet them all at the Thatcher Street Pub and give them a piece of our minds.....well, not give it to them....although I think
they need them.....

NYS needs to change it's mind in how we view government and it's responsibilities.........tooooooooo much involvement and tooooooo many
'freebies' all called freedoms and rights....when in fact they just debilitate and eat at one's soul/mind/spirit of individual desires to live as one's self.....

Smokin--hate to take issue with your post but Jennings supported Patacki over Carl McCall and he held a fundraiser for Sweeney.  Pissed off some folks but he in fact did it.

Complete agreement-he should move now and not wait.

Don't kid yourself about Tonko's popularity in Albany County-Mr Bananas. He idiotically endorsed a Jennings opponent who went nowhere. Mayor Jennings will find a DEM primary opponent and a CONS alternative {anti-Cap and Tax, anti-Obamacare and pro-Traditional values} will also emerge.

You are kidding right? Why would a conservative minded politician change to a liberal minded party? Or visa versa?  Don't make any sense what so ever. Not to mention the betrayal to the people who have supported that candidate for sharing their ideology. In Ang's case, he showed his liberal stripes as soon as he was elected. So he is with the party he should have always been with. He betrayed everyone in Duanesburg, Princetown and Rotterdam who worked feverishly to get him elected.

There are many many many people who did get off and worked their butts off to get Ang elected in the first place. (and they weren't liberals) They thought they WERE doing better.

There are no "conservative" Democrats because they all support the socialists congress, state politicians and #1 socialist Obama. Stop deluding yourselves. They have to. Robotism is in their nature, down to the genes, when it comes time to endorse their platforms. Anti-death penalty, soft on crime, big on welfare, big on socialism, big on taxes, against free enterprise, anti-2nd Amendment. That is where that party stands. When I see one of them anywhere TAKE ON THAT SOCIALIST PLATFORM PUBLICLY, then I will retract.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Just like there is no such thing as a liberal rep/con.
