The reps are going to try to discredit and destroy 'anyone' even remotely connected to the nntp. Let's not forget they tried the same tactics during the last election with fdg...and that backfired in their faces. As long as there are 'independent' candidates out there, combined with their poor leadership, they don't have a chance in hell to ever win another election. And they all know that.

What the reps haven't got yet.....is that this isn't about the nntp. Or any of the candidates. It is much much larger than the nntp and rotterdam or even schenectady county. It is a huge movement that is getting larger by the day!

Don't insult the intelligence of 'we the people'. We are sick and tired of all of the dysfunctional major parties. BL raised the political bar in this county and that folks is why these reps are freakin' out! They don't have a clue....sorry to say!

'We the people' want change in the way you all 'play politics'. It is pathetic at best! So 'we the people' will continue to support the independent candidates who offer us another choice besides all of you clowns! VOTE THEM ALL OUT!!

Bumblethru, try again.  I'm not a Rep, and I'm just as much a part of "We the people" as you are.

So get a grip...this "we the people" thinks the NNTP is a crock of doo-doo.  Not everyone buys into their garbage.  You do, and that's your problem.

As far as FDG in the last election, that backfired in the faces of the whole town because he's as useless as tits on a bull. That's the beauty of this board...the truth can come out.  Keep ignoring that fact that your pious, volunteering, upstanding golden boy Littlefield did what he did.  If that helps you sleep at night, then power to you.  But don't for one second claim what he did is ANY different that Bruno, or any of the others, you and others tear apart on this blog.  Not for one second.

Bumble I think you should step a bit gingerly re: that statement "BL raised the bar."  That's how he started out.  And he didn't raise the bar any higher than BM.  BL couldn't go the distance and he's been whining about it ever since.  There were enough candidates up this time.  I voted NNTP, Dem and Rep.  Because I voted for those I thought could do the job.  All the NNTP did was get Dems elected.  Stop filling up BL's head. That is what has caused him to think he is above everyone.  He isn't the second coming....  As for your growing movement--Albany County Reps find it laughable.  That's fact...Usually it's just Alb. County Dems laughing at Rotterdam--this time REps are too.

As for MM--cheap knock-off???  LOL  Ain't nothing about me that's cheap Pal.

The Republican Party chair overcharges the taxpayer for services rendered by his law firm - Republican board member overcharges Town for computer contract - Town Supervisor's brother allegedly receives an artificially low assessment.  Paulino delivers 100's maybe 1000's of dollars of town mulch to a large democrat contributor Mallozzi - Constantino gives kickback to developers and touches little girls, and independent Brad Littlefield who gets on the ballot on row F by going door to door getting petitions signed gives a christmas gift and people act as if this is White Water.  This is WAY too funny.

Alleycat, I apologize for calling you delusional, you are on the mark by pointing out the overkill.  The politics of personal destruction prove Brad's relevance.  They tried to use the slash and burn on FDG and look what  that got'em.

Cicero--apology accepted of course.  But Brad needs to step up also.  He is also guilty of slash and burn.  It is worse with his antics because he WAS so believable before the election.  He needs to go back and straighten out with the people he decided to attack.  He also needs to get back in touch with the reason he wanted to run for office.  I thougt he was sincere in my interactions.  I was duped.

Slash and burn just doesn't get you what you want.  It was a Shawn Morris move in Albany and now she is on the outside looking in and I believe because of that tactic, Jennings will try to help find a candidate that will knock Tonko out of the box.

Brad already did...I would show you the money trail, but he didn't report it in his filings!

And Cicero, how did the town overpay for attorneys and computer contracts?  I feel as if we've made huge improvements to the town website, and info tech services.  Prior the January 1, the website was an amazing tool.  Now, it's apparently been abandoned...maybe del Gallo is still reading the manual on his word processor?

As for attorney services, I don't know how you, or anyone else, could possibly ascertain from the audit report, etc. that we "overpaid" for the services of Parisi's law firm.  What, did you solicit a quote for every second of service done from three other firms, Cicero, and then compare them to see that we "overpaid?"  Oh wait, that would be impossible!

That could never be done...you guys are a bunch of losers!

Oh please, Peter! What, are you trying to get Amedore the NNTP line? I'll bet you are!

I'm not Peter, if Peter wanted to post something I'm sure he would, under his own name. Do you believe even half the chit you say?

I wouldn't call Brad somebody who runs a slash and burn campaign.  Brad's message is Brad's message.  Brad never once made personal attacks to score political points during his campaign.  His choice to terminate a personal/political relationship(in January) on this forum does nothing to gain political points.  As a matter of fact, it may do just the opposite.  In the short term may have ruffled a few feathers of some on this forum, but in the grand scheme of things it's quite meaningless.

Brad's political adversaries continue to attack him personally on this message board even after announcing he is moving out of the County.  It is very revealing of those who want to destroy the messenger.  They don't yet get it - it's the message NOT the messenger.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Are people actually saying that kr has more credibility and integrity than bl?  Just go down memory lane here....http://www.rotterdamny.net/m-1215804452/s-0/

Yep, my favorite quote was KR's:  Rhinesmith denied Pascarella’s claim. “That is not true and he has no basis for that whatsoever,” she said. “We have been doing this for a long time and we have financed all of our efforts ourselves. Conservatives will dig into their own pockets to fund a cause.”

LOL, I'd like to see who paid Spargo.... I'm sure KR paid thousands of dollars for Spargo and 5 county wide mailings! LOL. Hey Brad, do you know who paid for this stuff?

Earlier, no one criticized Brad. Now many of you are cursing him. What did he do to deserve that? He bought someone a gift certificate a week before Christmas who volunteered countless hours to his campaign. Election Law Violation? You have got to be kidding. LOL, now that is desperate.

LOL, as long as you have a nice website (even though you immorally didn't bid it and gave the contract to a friend and fellow board member) everything else will work itself out. LOL!

Cicero-who terminates a political/personal friendship on a blog for the world to see?  That strikes me as a bit odd.  Brad triggered that deluge of commentary.  Whether you like KR or not, and her plitics surely aren't mine, but she was completely devoted to him and his NNTP.  You break up the friendship on a blog?  No Cicero I am sorry that is just bad manners.  Only a goop would do that?  Are you familiar with the goops?

You are criticizing an information technology contract...should I respond with information about water main breaks?  No...that would be off topic, and make no sense.

The website WORKED well, and I doubt it was done "immorally." What were we talking about again?  Oh yeah, Brad.  Same old politician.  And mark my words, Amedore will get some BS endorsement of some BS minor party with Brad involved.  That's PG's thanks for sticking up for Brad on the board.  And I'm sure, as usual, PG will make out well for it!

.  While I believe that no new
taxes would be wonderful, I have to believe that it a fantasy, especially when the state doesn't have
two nickles to rub together.

You don't get it?  How about stop spending?  Re-negotiate public contracts.  Cut public employee pensions by 25%.  Reduce the welfare state.

Though this may be a fantasy in the current political environment in NYS, you have to start somewhere.
