Political mailings reach new heights for environmental waste

Whatever happened to saving the environment and conservation efforts?
How many trees had to be killed so we could receive all these fancy political ads on 60-pound test paper stock like huge postcards? And how many repeats do I need to receive? My recycling bin is full of these cards.
This must be the new fad for politicians because we’ve received quite a selection. Some are on glossy paper, but most are not.
I am aware that the information about the candidates needs to be circulated so we can figure out who to vote for in these local elections — provided, of course, that we care enough to vote. But why these huge cards? I’m offended by the waste. I didn’t happen to notice anywhere on any of these cards that they were printed on recycled paper, either.
If your candidate claimed to support green and you received one of these huge postcards in the mail with his/her picture on it, see if they used recycled paper — and think again about how green they really claim to be if they didn’t.

From what I was told it costs about $5000 to do a mass mailing like that so times that by the number of mailings and it adds up to a lot of money.

What about the meatloaf?   Did anybody get a picture of the meatloaf or the recipe for it?

I am saving the DiLeva sauce recipe-that's a real keeper. Just the right combination of herbs and spices. All the rest are fish wrap.

I hope Rachel Ray doesn't hear about this.  She may try to run for President.

where the heck is Al Gore when you need him.......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
