Dont be confused- Prostitutes are HUMAN BEINGS- MEN who purchase sex acts do not respect women, nor do they want to respect women. They are seeking control- and sex in contexts in which they are not required to be polite or nice, and where they can humiliate, degrade, and hurt the woman or child, if they want. Drugs play a roll - but not in the context you- Joann and others are proposing -

Only men are evil, blah blah...It reminds me of that adage that there would be only peace and love in the world if women ran all the governments. Being a student of history, I am reminded of an incident that occurred 250 years ago. This is obscure so bear with me. Many of you know that in the westward expansion of America the greatest obstacle of settlement for the white man was the red man. Most, but not all native American cultures were very warlike and/or extremely proficient at war while being simultaneously large in numbers, adequate to forestall or defeat the white man's settlement. American Woodland Indians were the most fierce of the white man's opponents and it took approximately 50 years for the whites to conquer the Ohio River Valley and the northwest territory in full, primarily due to the strength of a major tribe- the Shawnees. The famous statesman and warrior Tecumseh was a Shawnee. However, the Shawnees were a divided nation and half of them were unable to unite with the others to defeat the whites and drive them backward to the east because many years before there had been a major schism in the greater Shawnee nation. Two women of prestige had fought over a cooking pot. The nation split and half of the tribe formed a new clan.
