I believe that is:

"not pier, that is what you tie too to"

Let he without sin (or fault) cast the first stone (or ridicule).

Don't put words in my mouth - I never said that, that quote came from GB.

I know of several homes in rotterdam under $200K that had multiple bids and actually sold higher than the asking price. I don't know about the homes over $200K though.

Finally, after a grueling 10 months, we are OUT of Rottendam.  Goodbye and good riddance to a most unwelcoming town.  Later Altamont Ave and your "bi-weekly" road construction.  We will miss the few families that we did come to know, but the rest of you can kiss our @$$3$.

No, not yet.  That will come in retirement in about 25 years.

Are you talking about the ones in Colonie?  They really sold?   I don't remember hearing anything on the news about it

My two cents on comments from a few months ago.

In terms of the welcoming and friendliness.  Times have changed.  Years ago (decades ago) people sat on front porches each evening, chatted, visited with their neighbors.   Particularly while standing there with hose in hand sprinkling their lawn

Today, people turn on their sprinkler, then retreat to their fenced in back yard (with 6' high fence) and sit on their decks.   How do people socialize over a fence higher than they are?   And the distance of the width of properties makes it difficult to even call out "hi, how are ya" without shouting.

I see it on my street.  I can tell who was there long ago, elderly people today who obviously were sociable years ago, probably when they shared commonality of their children and were school volunteers, etc.  And you can tell, when one elderly person asks the other something like "are you going to New Hampshire to visit your brother this year?"  Back in those days people knew each other and their families, aunts, uncles, and cousins too.  They probably met them.

I see my neighbors, they are friendly, to the point of saying hi, how are you today, you see them when you or they are walking their dog. And sometimes short conversations.  Most of the time, however, you don't even know their name.

Heck, look at us with our own friends and family.  We have cell phones but we don't call them to speak to them, we text them,   We do instant messaging with people who would not be long distance calls.  We are either in our back yards on the deck or in our homes on the computer.
