the call came in like this: 83 year old female, feeling ill at town hall.  you do the math and yes of course the media sits by the scanner, how do
you think they get information.  all media does that.

Sorry rightous, but I'm with mary on this one! Remember that the gazette is liberal. Are you telling me that someone (a rep) actuallycalled the gazette, told them that eunice esposito was rushed to the hospital? And are you telling me that the gazette never asked who they were talking?  What'd ya think...the liberal gazette was giving the reps a pass?

I thought you were smarter than that!

Mary is correct! IMHO

Bum there is not a single doubt in my mind that someone made a call.  Mary dial it down a notch, a summer afternoon / evening in the gazette news room with the scanner a blazin, you really think that this single
medical call was of interest, because im sure that there wasn't a hundred different things going on in Schenectady, etc... etc... etc.... Believe it or not the world is a little bigger then Rotterdam.  Bum, I would respect
you more if you just said nothing, rather then bs and pretend that this "tip" isn't even a possibility.

I certainly am not going to make political statements about this. My prayers are fully with Eunice Esposito and I am sure she will be fine. Everyone on each side of the aisle and in between wants that, and I for one count her as a dear friend. She is a public official of high esteem and longevity and her health is certainly of interest and concern to the public as they are all rooting for her no matter whether they will vote for her or not. Furthermore, I imagine it will be of no concern whether she fell ill the other day. Come election day people will make decisions on voting for that office with the facts they have AT THAT TIME. I recall an election here in town about 1983 where a well beloved candidate won and he was far worse health on election day than Eunice is. I know of people who are far less healthy, are older or are even disabled who can do a job and do it well.

It has NO bearing on anything. God Bless you Eunice!

I am EMBARASSED by the banter over the illness of a human being.  Forget what her profession is or what party she is enrolled in.  I know first hand that her opponent (Fiorillo)is a big mouth gossip monger with a female NAPOLEAN complex!  Look no further than Steve's office. with Steve's blessing, to try and get some political advantage out of this "minor" heat related malady.  The same duo called RPD and the news stations when tax bills went out after the reval and attempted to cause public hysteria.
SICK SICK SICK!!!!

And there are plenty of 82 year old females who frequent Town Hall on a regular basis.  I am disgusted with this administration as you all know from my posts, but this is a new all time low.

Now more than ever ROTTERDAMIANS should be ashamed for themselves if they put this crew back in office.  Trust me, they will stoop to new levels when the urge for more drunken power is needed to soothe their vindictive souls!  Just like the alky's that raised them!

Yeah, they must have been the ones calling CNN when Cheny was having new pacemakers put in too a few years ago. They violated his HIPPA rights as well, right. Ted Kennedy too. Damn Republicans. Get off it with the fake outrage. Eunice will be fine, every one is praying for her and they like her, regardless of party.

Hey puddy....I thought that perhaps you became a little smarter than this. Just call the gazette and they will surely verify for  you where and how they came upon this information.

This is clearly not political.

Oh puddy....relax. No evidence of anything political here. It just hit the paper and people were concerned. Nothing more...nothing less.

I think Puddy has some kind of vendetta against Lynn Fiorillo. Calling her a gossip monger with a Napoleon complex...I am sorry, but there is no need for that. This is not what any kind of election is about, let alone one for town clerk.

I worked in a television news station for 2 years and they DO have people sitting by scanners waiting for news. It is VERY possible and likely that this is how they got their information. If whoever wants to badmouth Fiorillo on an claim not backed up, like someone else said CALL the paper and ask!  Until then don't assume you know what happened.

OF COURSE it came from a scanner! It is clear, that although some people honestly think that it is time for eunice to retire, EVERYONE still has a great respect and genuine concern for her health and well being.

As far as this Fiorillo person.....I don't know her and wouldn't vote for that position anyway. Never did! No big whoop for me.

Again....this is not a political issue! Really!

.

And exactly the reason someone like Lynn Fiorillo is not fit for office.  End of story.  Snotty, aloof and not very genuine.  Eunice at half speed better than Lynn at full speed.  You know the saying ***ch on wheels.  And to try and capitilize on the woman's fainting spell.  Typical of the Rotterdam Republican Committee and their Secretary ---Lynn Trifilo Fiorillo

Well aren't you a little know it all Puddy. I think you seriously need to check yourself. Whatever your personal opinion is about someone doesn't mean you should make a judgment call about who is better for office. Judging by your comments, you seem to be harping on your personal reasons for disliking Lynn Fiorillo other than who can do the job. I haven't heard you say anything useful yet...

Your opinions are based on a bunch of assumptions, particularly the one about someone trying to capitalize on the others bout of illness.

This race is NOT about age (like Eunice would like you to believe so she looks like she's being discriminated against, and who knows, maybe she genuinely believes she is being discriminated against) but it's about the capabilities of the candidates. If Eunice were able to even use a computer she probably wouldn't need an assistant and i'm sorry but in this day and age, you wouldn't be hired to this kind of position if you didn't know how to use a computer.
