The first one who gives up the stipend will get
my vote!
Being that you said the no new tax party is all a smoke screen, which asserts to the fact that you probably wouldn't vote for them, we can only assume that you were referring to the dems, reps and cons giving up their salary....correct?

Okay I guess I rankled some of you, but at least I got conversation started.  No! I would not want unnecessary spending of course not! Besides any large
items would have to go for a public referendum anyway. Unfortunately, I DO believe that this no new tax party is just a smoke screen.  I do not have a
problem with minor incremental increases in my taxes yearly.  In fact I would rather see that then get hammered with some major tax hike down the road
that will make me have to work two jobs to pay the taxes.  Again, I don't want to line anymore millionaires or lawyers pockets with money they don't need.

Quoted Text
"this line have all pledged to vote “No” on any new tax proposals or increase in taxes during their elected term in office or during the declared economic recession."

"these candidates propose capping tax increases at the rate of inflation and submitting any new tax district proposals directly to the people."

http://www.nonewtaxparty.com/

MaryM, Sounds like you agree with the No New Tax Party platform.

Neither one of the 2 major parties can cap taxes at the rate of inflation because that would mean they couldn't negotiate sweetheart deals, negotiating 4% raises for the RPD in return for Conservative Party support.  The No New Tax Party doesn't have a self serving interest.  Whereas the Conservative Party will only give support to the candidate that will give reasonable assurance that the Rotterdam Police Chief and department top brass are the highest paid in the Capital District.

The No New Tax Party will eventually nullify the Conservative Party line the Schenectady County.

At present we have three parties, the RINO Party, the Demotaxit Party, and the Conserve Nothing Party so we the people want another party that will really address the problem of over taxation that we the people face on the local/state/ and federal levels.

This is already being done in the City. By Gary McCarthy who already is on the county payroll. He doesn't take a City Council salary. Big Deal?

He is a liberal tax and spender who wanted to raise record City taxes again in a recession and always wants to bust the budget with even more hiring. Yes Baby steps but unless backed up with CONS fiscal principles completely worthless. The City wishes it had fiscal CONS in the Brad Littlefield/Joe Suhrada mode. It's so bad Roger Hull is starting his NO PILOT Party? LOL!

Perfect example benny! No one should vote for someone just because they don't take a salary. That is just plain ludicrous! Nor should someone vote for someone just because they are a friend, or 'gee they seem nice', or they are a rep, dem or con! That is why this county keeps circling around like a plane waiting to land. It goes nowhere! No direction. No vision. Just empty promises to the masses and favors for the few.

This election year will be different. AND it is being watched by every county around us! People are hungry for this chance at REAL choice and REAL conservatives. Here is our chance folks....let's take it while we have this door of opportunity and hope. VOTE THE 'NO NEW TAX PARTY' LINE!!!

Who cares who is who? There will never be county police. Too late for that.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Ah...NOPE! I'll be doing something much more effective. I'm gonna VOTE for the 'no new tax party' line and will encourage everyone else to do the same!

Too bad.  You sound like a person that would actually follow through on what you say you would accomplish.  Not just make campaign promises and then use the old "I don't recall" or "Situations prevent..." excuses once in office.
