New York State has three cities (Buffalo 13th, Poughkeepsie tied for 6th, and Albany at 6th) among the top 15 in the nation in residential vacancy. Let us also consider the following other "distinctions":
New York State has the highest rate of resident exodus (i.e., people leaving the state) -- 50% higher than the state of Massachusetts
Schenectady County has the 8th highest property taxes (by median property value) in the entire nation
Mont Pleasant is among the neighborhoods in the state with the highest residential vacancy.
Oppressive taxation, excessive regulation and the lack of high paying employment is forcing residents and businesses to leave our state. Do you like the trends? It is time for change in government. If you like the direction in which we are headed, continue to vote the way that you historically have done. If you want change, reject the incumbants and those in the political party establishment and vote for independent candidates.

Back from vacation? The County KRATS are doing a "job". Working together to separate you from every last dollar? Throw them all out starting with Little League "expert" Judy Dag!
What would turn this County around is dumping every KRAT incumbent running for office. Replace them with NO NEW TAX PARTY. If their is no electable opponent write one in.
Cut non-essential County employment 10%-eliminate all non-State mandated DSS programs-beef up the Sheriff's and SPD-cut all public funding for non-profits and Proctor's-dissolve Metrograft Authority and DSIC and cut County taxes 25%. Then you will see "renaissance"-then you will see "rebirth"-then you will see workers and job creators flocking to Schenectady County. Not before.
People are running out of schenectady. Well....all except for the drug dealers, prostitutes and most welfare recipients. The reps couldn't fix it, the dems made it worse and the cons....well they do nothing! So it's obviously the NEW NO TAX PARTY!!!!
