In New York, there’s a consensus: Something must be done about health care. Right now, too many state residents lack health insurance, according to government officials, advocacy organizations, academics and industry groups. And if the cost of health care continues to rise, the number of uninsured will continue to grow. This is why the state remains focused on its goal of ensuring that all New Yorkers have access to health care, even as Congress and the Obama administration debate and discuss proposals for providing everyone in the United States with affordable health coverage. What’s unclear, at both the state and federal level, is how best to achieve universal coverage. But a long-awaited study, released in July by the state departments of Health and Insurance, gives officials a better sense of how much it would cost to overhaul New York’s health care system. The report examines four proposals for achieving “quality, affordable” health coverage for all New Yorkers and assesses how many people each program would cover and how much funding each program would require. Approximately 2.5 million New Yorkers are uninsured, according to the state Department of Health. SINGLE-PAYER ADVOCACY Although the report does not endorse a particular proposal, advocates of a singlepayer health care system, in which private insurance companies are eliminated and doctors, hospitals and other health care providers are paid through a single fund, typically the government, view the study as an endorsement of a single-payer system. “Single-payer is the best one,” said Mark Dunlea, executive director of the Hunger.....................>>>>..........................>>>>...................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....1&Continuation=1
One of the biggest problems with the health-care system in NYS is people coming from other states being able to cash in on the states health-care, welfare, heap, and many more free programs provided by the state when said people never paid a dime into the programs. Look what's happened to California and you can see where NYS is headed.

What the liberals want is another huge tax increase to pay for health care for illegal aliens. So the KRATS can register them to vote. Anything Paterson wants is wrong and must be opposed. He gave Son of Sam a job? Between this health care "plan" and Farmer Paul Tonko's Cap and Tax no one will be able to live in this State.
