I'm sick of sum bag parents who let their kid roam the streets at nights. Making excuses and taking no responsibility for their kid’s actions…What has happened to parental supervision out there?

The police can pull the DNA off a cigarette from 20 years ago, but can do or will do nothing to stop the BS going on.

All the petty stuff is adding up ...

Gosh, I was coming in Hannaford a few days ago, daytime, there must have been a half dozen kids, looked to be maybe  to 10 yrs old, they had been shoplifting, the cops were there and they took them to some office there with the cop.  They looked to be city kids, as in Schenectady

Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Altamont Ave has become the gateway between the city and Rotterdam! And walmart is the BIG draw!

Agreed, there are a lot of good kids out there. It’s to bad a few bad one ruin it.
Some time I think parents try to their kid’s friend instead of their parent.  In my opinion, in the long run it doesn’t teach the kid how to “grow up”.

The 10 year old good kids aren't out walking the streets after 10pm. However, it is summertime, and I personally don't think there is anything wrong or unusual with 'older' kids going for walks, walking to get ice cream, going for pizza or just visiting other friends on a nice summer night. Believe it or not, 'older' kids still do that!

As far as parents being their kids friends, that isn't necessary or advisable. However, a parent needs to have an opinion on everything their kids do, watch or read. And in order to do that, the parent needs to be a major part of their kids lives. It's a different world out there and in order for the parents to understand it...they have to be a part of it. IMHO

this subject is a tale as old as time

however there is a greater lack of respect for authority

if you need Rotterdam's law enforcement, complain about cars driving across your property and you will get 3 units at a time - there's money to be made  - they can sniff it out - not that this is bad as it keeps taxes low
