First Mary, I liked your poem...

Second....let's take a look at fdg from another angle. Although his connections are questionable by many in this town, and I'm sure will be watched closely, his resume is clearly anything but liberal. He came up the ranks and should credit himself for his hard work 'without' the help of anyone or any entity, organization or taxpayer monies. He climbed the ranks of success by HONEST hard work......orrect?

So he clearly then represents the conservative ideology of free enterprise, private business and capitalism with no handouts...correct?

With that being said, and with fdg's history, we should expect nothing less than one of the most conservative supervisors rotterdam has ever had. Rotterdam should expect to see the town function as lean as it possibly can. We should expect to see lay-offs and cross training at the town level. Any union contracts should be expected to be negotiated fairly but with the taxpayers interest in the forefront.

And since he, himself has stated that he will not take a salary, we should also expect to see no new hires or new taxing districts  in his administration while he is supervisor.

With his history of conservative views, rotterdamians should be expecting a tax decrease, a more efficiently run town and a smaller budget with no handouts. FDG is a proclaimed self made businessman, and we should expect nothing less from him and his administration.

Hey, who knows....perhaps santa really did come to town!

Twas the night before Thanksgiving/Christmas/Easter etc(who the hell cares) and all through the state every voter was asleep....
with their bellies full and not for the groaning
with their bank accounts flat
with their levy on their backs
not a creature(servant) was stirring their call girl current
all government property not tacked down
was taken and sold to a sort of king of the crown
to start their own business and make a demand
that my life is more important than the little man........

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the blog,
Not a creature was stirring just Mary the Mag.

The comments would be printed by Bumble and Sal,
The ones that made sense were by Benny and Cal.

Get over the election Reps and Ms Magdalene,
Keep it up PDQ-you affect the adrenaline.

And what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a democratic slate to begin the New Year.

So off to town meetings--you all know the way-
The Dems will all greet you--it is a new day.

Ciao Ego and Mertzie and Sigsnore and ties--
Howdy Doody, GP and Mr. Surpirse.

As  they drove to the bunker we heard the folks scream
The Dems have arrived--Welcome Frank and the team.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the Town
The residents look for competent leadership, and they get DelGallo the clown

The Republicans lost because all the in fighting
Low and behold, the creation of a party new and exciting

The No New Tax Party with it's message so clear
A Republican endorsement, they win next election year

DelGallo and Dems get 42% of the vote
Not close to a majority, no reason to gloat.

With the tax burden mounting, and residents leaving the State
We must look for new leaders, with the integrity trait.

PDQ and Puddy are one in the same
Who looks at Town politics as nothing more than a game

Rotterdam's problems started decades ago
With a crooked Town Supervisor, and a screwed up tax roll

And to those on this board that claim victory
The Dems control the County

CONGRATULATION!! We're the 9th highest taxed in the Country.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

On the first verse: One of the best "signal callers" in the County if you ask me.  HeHeHe

On the last verse:

Sounds an awful like our soon to be ex-Supervisor and his gang of thugs!  Talk about a screwed up TAX ROLL LOL.  Craig Surprise destroyed the best tax roll Rotterdam had seen in decades in a short two year span.  Wow Who hired that guy?     Talk about a train wreck.....I wonder what SURPRISE is awaiting the "lame duck" ASSessor? hmmm

A town wide reval, because of the previous assessor so lame
His incompetence cost $750K, he must be ashamed.

Assessments were lowered, in exchange for votes for Jimmy
Town contracts were granted, for kick backs from Timmy.

Watch this new Administration, as they feather their beds
This is Rotterdam politics, from the same trough they are fed.

Bumble--you do have the right to your opinion and to think I am stupid--but just a word regarding your logo--while you're busy thinking how stupid all of us are--you might want to grammatically fix your logo to read "you're stupid."  Mrs. Beasley can't catch all errors because I am quite elderly now but that one is glaring.  IMHO

I know, I know. I noticed it when I first saw it too, but I still liked it and.....well.....here it is bad grammar and all!

And my wife in her sweat suit and I in my fleece
are awaiting that promise for that proposed tax decrease.

When at the town hall there rose such a clatter,
I just had to go to see for myself what was the matter.

And what to my wondering eyes should I see,
But a democratic sweep
Thanks to the NO NEW TAX PARTEEEEE!

Could have been a NNTP Party sweep if the residents had the knowledge of
the candidates' positions and the courage not to vote party line.
