...misinformation, anyone? I guess they figure ordinary dump people like us can't figure out the board of election's website. However, we can read IT better than the Democrat congressmen can read the Healthcare reform bill.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

I just got back from Price Chopper where I ran into someone I hadn't seen in almost a year. They heard that fdg was being backed by the businesses/land owners in town. They are worried that if elected, he will grant the businesses/land owners a clean slate. That if a walmart were to emerge again....it will be a go. Or perhaps any new business that wants to land in town. They said that it appears that he does not have a plan to speak of. So being backed by the businesses/landowners, is a bit frightening for them. And he is running only on the qualification that he is a business person.

They told me that these are the concerns of many residents. They said that they would vote for tommasone or mcgarry. They hadn't made up their mind yet.

I tried to warn the people on this board that fdg had no real plan. I heard his side and was not impressed by any of it. I am still waiting to hear from the other side
now.

DelGallo is indeed backed by businesses pouring cash into his campaign...just look at their disclosures.

So bringing in new businesses in the town is a bad thing? What planet are you people from.

I suppose the "abandoned" look of the capitol plaza and old kmart plaza is pleasing to the eye?

I have nothing against business, just addressing a comment.

No one is against business molly. But people do have legitimate concerns as far as fdg goes. People haven't forgotten rotterdam's fiasco when walmart wanted to land at the 'triangle'. The town was polarized between landowners and residents. If that had happened back in the 'good old days', walmart would be open for business at that triangle today.

And of course no one likes to look at the vacant capital plaza. That's a walgreens issue. The four corners....that's a cvs issue.

Candidly speaking.....some of the people are concerned that fdg, who is a businessman, being supported and financially backed by other businessmen, will ultimately lead to a quid pro quo scenario.

Probable? Perhaps not.
Possible? Yes

The backing may or may not be an issue.  The true concern is the makeup of the rest of the Town Board because the Supervisor alone cannot promote much without Board support.  We need to focus on all Board candidates and possible combinations with potential Supervisor candidates.  The existing makeup of the Board, pretty much everything is rubber stamped through.  We need candidates that represent the people and not the parties (ie. the NO NEW TAX PARTY platform is just that!).

McGarry has one line at the bottom of the ballot. He has as much chance to win as a write in. I'd rather
choose between the two candidates who have a chance instead of wasting my vote, IMO.

Oh....this mind thought will really get mcgarry elected, huh? Because he has only one line?

Is that how we elect our officials now, by how many lines they carry? So if S.T. or fdg had the most lines, then they are the best candidate and gets the vote? Or if mcgarry had the most lines than the others, he'd get the vote? That seems rather foolish. IMHO
