Come on there pdq, if you can't produce the facts, then we have no choice but to take your assumptions as nothing more than 'hot air' from someone with an axe to grind!

And nope...I'm not at work on a taxpaid computer cause I work in the private sector.

What about evidence from those who claim that there are properties in the town that are not included on the tax rolls?  Please provide property addresses and owners' names.

Will 'sparky' cut spending? How?
Will he layoff county employees if necessary for the benefit of the town taxpayers?
Will he represent the taxpayers and place them first when negotiating all union contracts?
Will he come with enough experience so rotterdam doesn't spend tens of thousands on studies...again?
Will he support a taxing district for an ambulance service that can well be handled by the private sector at no cost to the taxpayers. (in other words, will he have the ba**s to tell REMS, it's time to go, for the sake of the taxpayers and the entire town?)
Will he get rid of the town clerk's part timer when/if eunie is replaced?
Will he continue with the same legal team that presently represents the town?

These questions aren't just for sparky....it just happens to be under his thread.

PDQ ~ You're absolutely right!  I am sure that numerous 'back-door' deals have occured in Rotterdam, not just under Tommasone, but in all the past administrations and past assessors.

The more this shapes up, the more I am convinced that Steve, the dictator, will lose.  Word is that Tommasone is running for a committee seat in his brother's district, obviously even his brother was sick of the republican fighting.

One thing I will say about the property taxes, seems to me that if someone invests in their property, instead of vacations/gambling/toys, or even investment portfolios, the government punishes them for that choice.  Tell me, do you really think that the way we tax property is 'fair'?  The government actually creates a disincentive to invest in your home, go figure - then you wonder why the town looks like crap.

It's still a good time for "CHANGE"

why do you think the government had to 'bailout' Frannie/Freddie and the other mortgage messes......

the only way to collect taxes is to have something to collect on......our fabric to this nation are the homes we buy/build

I say if one builds like Mr.DelGallo....one knows that 10% on $800,000 is still 10%

just like if one builds like the most of us.....one knows that 10% on $100,000 is still 10%

as for the appraisal.....WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WANTS TO OWN A LOW VALUED(for less tax purposes)HOME?
STOP LOOKING,PRYING,GREEDING,COVETING OUR NEIGHBOR'S THINGS.....

GET THE DAMN MONKEY TO PLAY STRAIGHT....................

I dont care who you think you are, politician/businessman or whatever,,,,,,we all have what we have

IT IS THE GOVERNMENTS RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP IT STRAIGHT.......

if you cant keep it straight---kill the monkey or GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr.DelGallo worked for what he has....good for him.....but---NO SPECIAL TREATMENT.....

I work for what I have too......it's all relative,,,,,,PLAY IT STRAIGHT.......

I invest in going out to dinner, movies, shopping, groceries, National Grid, this computer, Time Warner, etc etc.....and
EVERYONE GETS A PIECE OF ME.........and you too........

Let me just say.....Mr. DelGallo NEEDS to beat Tommassone for Town Supervisor. Tommassone and Signore have used their political positions to manipulate the inner-workings of town departments to benefit their friends and family; like changing a residency policy affecting the police department to get Signore's kid on the police department and then left for the troopers, obviously he didn't care about being a member of a great department with a fantastic administration. Now, Tommmassone is taking his turn to replace Eunice Esposito with one of his cohorts through nepotism.  The Town of Rotterdam has such GREAT people in it, however Tommassone and Signore are not in that 'pool' and I hope Mr DelGallo wins the election......I'll even post signs and do whatever I can do to campaign for him.

Anyway, don't let Tommassone and Signore fool you at election time with their fake friendliness to get your vote, remember who is going to bring transparency to town government......Mr. DelGallo.  Also, remember to vote FOR Eunice Esposito at election time!!!

Let's get rid of the whole Tommassone and  Signore REGIME!!!

Many promise "transparency" - few deliver. This includes school boards right up to POTUS.  Anyone can promise transparency - or "change" - delivering it is something all together different.

If you agree in voting in McGarry, Mertz, O'Connor, and you feel Tommasone/Signore should be voted out, who gets your other town board seat vote?

Surhada?

Godlewski?

Martin?

First, and in all do respect here...I would not vote for F.DG. Reason being is that I feel he was thrown in and agreed to run for supervisor for the SOLE purpose of keeping tommasone out. Ok, fair enough...but not enough reason for me to vote for him.

Now, McGarry is running because HE WANTS TO! He will get my vote! I mean really....tommasone probably has a slim chance of winning this election if any chance at all anyway. So it's McGarry!!

As far as voting for a town board seat? Good question. It would be oconner and mertz and God only knows who else. But I will tell you one thing for sure....IT WON'T BE GODLEWSKI!!

McGarry won't win, his last name doesn't end in a vowel.

HOWEVER.....new youngsters are landing in town now. From every walk of life. So the vowel thing is probably coming to an end!
