Well, this is one taxpayer who's revolt will NOT include the consolidation of the police forces for the reasons I have stated before.

In Schenectady County, the city of Schenectady is viewed as an administrative cesspool by surrounding communities — a view not without merit. The surrounding municipalities want to maintain their safe communities at a cost. The cost goes beyond dollars, it is the “ghettoization” of an inner city.

The only problem is the height of the costs (in dollars) that it costs each year, with such a jump in salaries and benefits. I'm willing to add a bit of a charge for overtime in Rotterdam, but at the same time I still think overtime should be reduced by adding a couple new officers to reduce cost and stress on the officers on duty.
