If our schools could teach comprehension things wouldn't get so out of hand......semantics at best......it's like driving up to a dollar menu then adding
extra stuff to make a 'value meal' of your own liking...........

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

This was the biggest joke ever! The dems are running out of steam if they had to result to this.

I received my card in the mail yesterday.  When I opened it, I was surprised to see a picture of Savage and a message signed by her.  The mailing appears to be a county taxpayer funded reelection campaign flyer.  Although I disgarded the mailing, I don't recall having seen any reference made or credit given to the other county legislators.  Is Ms. Savage solely responsible for the agreement with the prescription drug provider?  Did she alone authorize the program?

I would ask those in the media to investigate who paid for this campaign literature and what the cost was to send it to every household in Schenectady County.  It seems to me to be an improper use of county tax revenues particularly leading up to the senders reelection campaign.

MT,

You can scan and post it if you wish.  I would be interested in others' opinions of whether it seemed like
a campaign piece.

Quoted Text
ProAct is paying for the mailing; there is no cost to the county to sponsor the program.

First...thanks MT!!!!

Second, if this was paid solely for by ProAct, than what is Suzie's picture and cutesie message doing in it? Is she taking credit for something that isn't hers? Was she giving ProAct free advertisement? If ProAct is a private business, than why didn't they run their own ads and press releases in the media? Why was Suzie their spokesperson?

Just another dog and pony show from our county legislature.

What kinda concerns me is the wording, and as nobody's mentioned it yet - I will

"Welcome to the Schenectady County Discount Prescription Drug Program"

This is a "County Program" ?  That certainly leaves room for interpretation, but I'm wondering if there's any real county involvement in this, and at what cost.

Well, if you are correct MT in your assumption, than the gazette reported yet another false story. Cause I quoted the gazette and the article was written by Lamendola....of course. It is the first post on this thread.

Not that the report would surprise me as being inaccurate, but what I'm wondering about is the wording. It'll be interesting to see the budget, and contribution reports that come out to see if there's any correlation.

I think that it's a little strange that nothing on the card or the accompanying literature mentions what kind or percent of savings one will get when you try to use it at a pharmacy.

I went to get my mother's prescriptions and her copay was 73 dollars. the drug card actually saved me zero cents. The pharmacists that were working laughed and said that they hadn't had one person who TRIED to use the card get a discount at ALL. zero percent of their customers saved anything and several were POed greatly at being misled that it would save them money. Well Suzi has HER name on it so you tell me who gets the heat.
