Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) has moved the two rifles that she kept under the bed to protect her upstate New York home, her spokesman Matt Canter said Monday.
"Given that the location of the guns has been disclosed, they have been moved for security reasons," Canter said.
Gillibrand found a new place to store her guns over the weekend while she was upstate to endorse Democrat Scott Murphy in the March 31 special election being held to choose her successor to represent the 20th District in Congress.
Gillibrand disclosed she had two guns under her bed in an interview with Newsday last week. An aide later said the guns were rifles -- she won one in a county fair raffle while campaigning -- and that she kept them for home security.

She's playing politics to avoid a primary challenge from the woman democrat who threatened to run against her in a primary. She's plainly selling out on the beliefs that have gotten her elected in the past IMHO. |

SHE RAN AND WON FOR CONGRESS AGAINST AN INCUMBENT REPUBLICAN WHO HAD MAJOR ISSUES. SHE NOW HAS TO BE ALL THINGS TO ALL 'NEW YORKERS'. THIS IS A PRELUDE TO HER VOTING AGAINST GUNOWNERS SOON. I would like to see just ONE politician stand up for what they REALLY believe in and not sway off for personal political gain. It is a pathetic display of blate lying. Get a huge burlap bag and put them ALL in it and send them off to sea!!!!!
My God, even the Muslim countries stand up for what they believe. (whether we agree with them or not) But they don't waiver for nothing! Perhaps our wonderful 'honest' politicains should take a lesson from them, huh? |

I doubt that it will ever happen Bumble. Those who are principled, independent, and steadfast in their beliefs don't get endorsements. The system selects those who can be manipulated and controlled to advance agendas of profit and power. I have little hope for our political system. It has become a sad state of affairs. |

Too bad she removed the guns........shame shame shame.....the only thing this proves is that she has 'protection' outside her own home/decisions....
