QUEENSBURY - An 18-year-old Warrensburg soccer coach was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing four underage boys he allegedly met through youth sports in Warren County, State Police announced Tuesday.
Michael L. Nasierowski of Warrensburg is accused of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy in Queensbury in the summer, and two 13-year-olds in Thurman in the spring, State Police said. There could be additional cases. "We're trying to get more victims to come forward," State Trooper Maureen Tuffey said.
Nasierowski helped coach soccer on a volunteer basis at Warrensburg Central School and the Adirondack Youth Soccer League. He "has been known to frequent the Warrensburg Travel Park Campgrounds," police said.
Nasierowski met his alleged victims through his soccer coaching position, Tuffey said, declining to elaborate.
He was arraigned Tuesday in Thurman on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of forcible touching, both misdemeanors.
Nasierowski was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court on Oct.11 and charged with a count of sexual abuse, second degree, a count of sexual misconduct and two counts of endangering a child, all misdemeanors. He was released from Warren County Jail after posting bail, police said.
State Police urge parents of children who were involved in soccer programs, or came into contact with Nasierowski, to speak with their children.
Anyone who has related information regarding illegal sexual activity in the case should call police at 745-1035 or 583-7000.
