We are sorry to announce that the Schenectady project has, unfortunately, run into some complications. We were told last week by our Architect and our Construction firm that the kitchen has to be relocated from the basement to the first floor… because of ventilation issues. Although that doesn’t sound like a big deal, it totally is. It requires a complete redesign of the kitchen, with new exits, and different plumbing, … etc.
The frustrating part, is that when we first opened Bombers on Lark Street, it took us 5 months… start to finish! And let’s just say it was about 1/8th the cost. (granted it was 11 years ago). But the point is that this project has been one gigantic pain in the A$$. It’s not easy working with sooooooo many people (architects, Metroplex officials, city officials, general contractors). Although everyone in Schenectady has been great to work with, no one seems to have the same excitement anymore to get this Bombers opened as we do!! It’s just business as usual over there. It’s very very very frustrating.
Anyway, based on the gazillion emails we get asking about the opening of the Schenectady Bombers, we figured we’d provide a new update. Sorry it’s not better news. But the good news is that WE ARE COMING TO SCHENECTADY. It’s just taking a little longer than we had hoped.
Projected opening: early 2009.

Working together works? Gazillion emails? Right. Nobody cares. This will open about the same time as the Big Hose. Let's see how the People's Gazette spins this into a positive development. Keep delaying and taking Metrograft money by the hand full.

There is one person here who didnt do his job properly and I have to ask that the people of the district take notice over here and ask that the man provide the record of what he is doing with his tim,e lately since he let the ball slip huge on this one. Joe S is responsible for not informing the people about this and it took him 3 years to find out about the big house so what is the problem suhrada? Why dont you do your job over here since this is your area on the county? He is supposesed to be the gazzetts # 1 source on economic issues and they never call Angelo or Judy or Tony. This is ridiculous and Suhrada should be impeaced for keeping us in the dark again

You know what I mean. Suhrad was supposed to bring us the info like he did before so what does he do now but hide the info from the people. He is the one who told about the big House and now he is silent WHY? What does he do for us? Nothing as usual. I used to like him but after he did all of these things and then dropped the ball on bombers why shouldwe vote for the repubs any more? Ok, I always read these posts, but always as a guest. I finally had to register becasue I cannot take it any longer. Salvatore is illiterate. The fact that he is actually sitting upright at a computer and typing these posts amazes me. I truly believe that his finest posts were under the "Conservitive Party" section. I really can't follow any of this.

You and I know Suhrad has thew big mouth when there is a petty anti little job given to this one or that one who is struggling to make ends meets {not the richest of the rich like Suhrad} and he wants to hang them for it but when there is a screw up with the big businesses like this here Bombers then he keeps us in the dark entirely. WHERE was Suhrada when this was going behind schedule and WHERE was he for 3 years on Big House and why didnt he say something to warn the taxpayers sooner? He is a phoney now that he is in cahoots with the gazette every day about some supposed mis - spending of the money { which is all because of state mandates anyway according to those I know} So then I say to you that this is a front group for the repubs and a conspiracy so who files the disclosures of the $ spent to run this internet board? You people amaze me indeed and it is nice to have a sunny outlook like I do and realize that the county is turning around while you chicken littles like to bash bash bash. there is still only one positive repub who doesnt bash and that is Angelo who is not going to be the one with tips the apple cart. I like to dump the apple cart....the bad apples at the bottom will 'float' to the top and the fruit flies will be exposed as to which apples they are feasting on
