Well, I was looking through the Legal notices in the Times Union and found this yesterday.

First of all, I didn't know if there was any other Burdeck Street in the general area, but after just googling the exact address, I found that this came up as Wade Tours address.

LEGAL NOTICE
797 BURDECK STREET, LLC

Articles of Organization were filed on the 30th day of August, 2007.  The office is to be located ion the County of Albany.  The Secretary of State has been designated as agent for service of process and shall mail such process to 29 British American Boulevard, Latham, New York 12110.  This LLC is formed for every legal purpose.

And this means what? I don't think that it is a big deal. I know someone who owns a cleaning business and they have an LLC after it. Just a new layer I guess. It's suppose to represent a more secure company, so they say. Although I don't know why Wades would have to do it since they have a great reputation and have been around forever.

Oh and BK, I love your Christmas lights!

I think an LLC just protects the owners' personal items, and the debts can only go for actual property of the actual company and not the owners.  If it was just a family run business or a partnership, if something happened, bus accident or whatever, the Wade family could be sent through the ringer.

Not really BK. You just have to be INCORPORATED. That is what protects the owners. Only the 'corporation' can be sued. They would sue the 'corporation' and it's assets and of course their insurance company which is usually covered by millions.
