In November 2007, they began discussing a three-way deal with property owner Carmen Masullo and the Helderberg Estates developers.
Ya know....the drainage problem is WITH Masullo Est's right? So wouldn't ya think that Carmen Masullo would make some restitution for their  poor developing of this residential neighborhood and their drainage problems. It would look admirable if Mr.Masullo 'gave' this land to the town to fix these problems that are a result of both poor developing on the developers part and poor oversight on the towns part.

Salvatore:  EVERYWHERE in Rotterdam is now swampland...and the more they dig to build, the more they create.  They dig and displace water and it runs somewhere else.  Then, it goes to reach its own level (as water has been known to do since about the beginning of time) and they wonder why they keep having drainage issues.  The entire town should probably be elevated to some extent to stop further issues.

There are very few places in Rotterdam, that I know of anyway, that does not have either a high water table or a drainage problem.

Absolutely true Bumble, but that doesn't seem to prevent the developers from building more houses and creating more problems with the towns blessing.

Aren't they good Dam builders in Holland??? why did they come here? were they running from the dam's of Holland? maybe the developers didn't listen to  the older wiser Dutch settlers....

anyhow, I see movement on Houlton Ave and I think I actually saw Elvis.......
