Well it does for me.  They are screwing up the land and devaluing the properties around it.  Who permitted it?  It's a mess there.

There are messes from decades ago. Where was the 'environmentalists' when they were building the mall and the rest of the development on campbell road affecting our aquifer? Oh yea...they were there and very vocal. BUT there was money to be made and the union made a sweet deal.

If you think it will be any different with fdg, you are just kidding yourself. No one contributes those sums of money without expecting 'something' in return. Just look at the city of schenectady!!! Check out the metroplex. Wake up and smell the coffee!

And please don't use those 'key' words like 'transparent'. We have heard that word used over and over again. NOT HAPPENIN'.

IMHO

When you own a property, and you go through the process of approval, it is difficult for them to stop you. They can put a lot of roadblocks up in your way, which they have done. But you don't just seize individual private property so easily. Land developments do bother the people in homes nearby that once bought those homes from land developers to live in. And everyone enjoys a nature preserve behind them someone else pays for. Who wouldn't? But the town and the supervisor don't go and dispossess lands from people who have the land and want to profit from it. They make them follow the state and town laws. I find most people hate new homes going up near them, and I don't blame them when they lose privacy for feeling that way.

It really isn't some giant conspiracy, it is the natural progression since the Pilgrims got a foothold, but the Native Americans also didn't appreciate new tribes moving into the area either. Contrary what they taught you in grade school, the Indians usually didn't go have quaint dinners with the interlopers, or even hold town hall meetings. They attacked and killed them and drove them out. We use courts for that today.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

just like the locusts.......if you want privacy/country etc.....buy a farm and take care of yourself.....grow your own food,
kill your own animals, gather your own eggs etc etc.......

however,,,,,,a nice strong comp plan with a cohesive view/patina would do this town wonders........before it becomes
shabby.......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

ROTTERDAM
Masullo Estates drainage project ready to begin

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter

After months of delays, town contractors are ready to break ground on the drainage improvements to the groundwater-plagued Masullo Estates development.
Town officials met with the state Department of Transportation and Carver Construction last week in preparation for the $1.35 million drainage project. Public Works Coordinator Michael Griesemer said a final schedule for the job is due this week and construction could begin by the start of next month.
"I'm glad it's finally moving forward," he said.
From the start, the project faced a number of setbacks. Wet weather during the summer — including the wettest July on record in the Capital Region — initially prevented the drainage work.
Griesemer said project engineers also decided it would be better to cut through Guilderland Avenue to install a 36-inch storm water pipe beneath it, rather than drilling beneath the road. Because the road is a state-owned highway, workers needed to await an approval from DOT, which signed off on the project this week.
Work is expected to begin at the mouth of the 88-home neighborhood. Once the old pipe is removed and the new one installed, the project will focus on creating a retention area in a wooded parcel behind the development. .....................>>>>.........................>>>>...........http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01301&AppName=1
