This is the new forum. We feel much more secure and comfortable with this choice. We are in the process of rebuilding what we had. Regretably we lost all of the posts. It was a difficult decision, but security for the forum content and the members were priority. We can always start chit chatting again. We were able to save articles for subject matter of interest.

Just for the time being, anyone who registers will be validated through their email. We are doing this to speed up the process of registration. In the near future, it will go back to email and administrator validation.

So we hope you enjoy the new site. Be creative and have fun with it. It is here for you!

Nice site! It'll fill up again pretty quick though. Unfortunately the same issues lend themselves to continuous cycling.

Just like in the City of Schenectady!

Just like everywhere! It's one step forward...two steps back!! And sometimes we don't even make it to the one step forward. At times I think that is just wishful thinking.

Ok Ms.PatZ the portal is now setup for viewing.  It is located at the bottom of the screen for all who wish to view it. Just click on the "Portal" button and it will give you an overview of the happenings on this forum.

There are some new features on this message board that were not on the old one.

There is a Forum Statistics Board at the bottom. It will give you updated informaton on how many boards, catagories, topics, messages and members there are presently. It also will give you updated information on recent posts, member list, latest posted thread and latest new member.

You will also notice the VIEW PORTAL button that will display all of the latest information on the message board.

CLICKS AND EXTENSIVE STATISTICS will also give you more updated information by day/month.

Also notice the THREAD RATING at the bottom of each thread. You can rate the topic if you choose.

There is an EMAIL A FRIEND option at the bottom where you may invite someone to view/join the forum. This is part of the message board forum which will automatically send a link to this site.

So look around and enjoy!

All quite interesting.  The one thing that I found that I DON'T like is that in order to get the "topics I haven't read recently" to update, you have to go to the home page each time, then jump over to it.  It is just me?

I found the same thing. I just hit the home button when I'm done with whatever it is I'm doing! And move on to the next.

I know, it's just not the 1 touch effect we had on the old site, that's all.  Didn't know if it's something that could just use tweaking somewhere.

Unfortunately not. It's the design of the software. Although they do take suggestions for change and offer updates periodically. I will suggest it.

Two possibilities. Viewing the Portal will give you the most current threads. There is also an option in the member center where you can "show only new threads." That would make it easier than reading through titles.

Viewing the portal. That's the way to go.

Ok everybody. Notice how you couldn't log into the site today? Well neither could I or any of the admins. We were all locked out. I have to apologize as it was my fault. I clicked something I shouldn't have. So here we are again and again my apologies! I swear I won't touch anything again!
