And who is going to listen to Joe and Ang? Tedisco? Amedore? They didn't listen to them OR us before. The plex is just a scam on the taxpayers. The ONLY people making money off the tax paid plex are the 'select' developers, Philip Morris, Gillen and the owner of the Big House.

Gillen and Savage have given us nothing but false security. After 10 years, there should be NO TAX INCREASES! Schenectady County should be one of the lowest taxed counties in the state. A county that boasts about it's development and yet they can't even keep a coffee shop in town.(Starbucks)

They can't even open a bar(Big House)on time, but Mr. Waite can use space in that building for his legal office that specializes in what? BANKRUPTCY!

And if Joe and Ang should speak about terminating the plex...they will wake the democratic beast and I swear that fire will come out of their mouths. That is what must have happened to Joe's hair. (just a joke here)

Here's the newest development; Bombers Burritos will not open as scheduled. Van Dyke {after 2 taxpayer handouts} is to be auctioned. The Big Hose still has not opened. None are paying any property taxes. Metrograft is beyond a joke. It's a socialistic monster that's devouring every tax dollar in sight. All we hear is lies about non-existent jobs created and how Ray is calling toy stores and national book stores.

Proctor's is another pathetic story. Philip Morris should have been fired-here he wins awards. "Crowds" of 800 in a 2300 seat theatre are commonplace. Dicky Betts who sold out nationwide drew 800 to Proctors even with Buy One Get One Free. The People's Gazette has been ordered to stop printing attendance-its so small. No clue, no idea on how to fill the main theatre nor utilize the other 3 smaller venues. $300,000 in County taxes were flushed down the toilet for stupid arts nights. 440 State "art studios' stopped selling art last year and is now for sale. Surprise! Nobody wants it.

If we didnt have the PRoctors we would have nothing so I dont know why you are against the Proctors over here now. The repubs want to wreck everything and to think I voted for them all these years. They should look to Ang to be a roll model since the rest are anarchists who want to wreck downtown and the tax - base of our county and make it impossible to live here and still be able to afford the taxes over here indeed. Now there is one worth - while repub and that is Ang and the rest will brake our bank entirely so people wake up and stop listening to the hate and the fear - mongering with these repubs

Toooooo late Sal...they already broke the bank. The reps just want control of this broken bank. Do you think for ONE minute that the plex would be shut down if reps were in charge? Hardly! They just want control of it. If that WEREN'T true, Tedisco and Amedore would have said 'no' to the extension of the plex.

The black hole called Metroplex has not been doing the job that they promised and that they were formed to do. The purpose of Metroplex was to attract businesses to Schenectady which would create jobs, attract people to spend their money here to increase sales tax, patronize the businesses and create a larger property tax base to lower the taxes on the residents. Has any of that happened so as anyone can notice? Some businesses never open, some businesses open and the same businesses close and a few jobs are created and those same jobs are lost and in the many years that Metroplex has been in existence one he## of a lot of money has been poured into this black hole and causing our taxes to go up in order to feed the beast.

Here's the latest on Metrograft....nothing. No new projects-no idiotic taxpayer ripoffs.

Parisi's Steakhouse closed permanently after dinner service on Saturday. The Gazette refuses to report on another Metrograft failure like the other 5 Downtown restaurants that folded this year. They still haven't reported on Friendly's closure and will not report on Bombers delay until March 2009. Even Democrats are laughing at Ray who continues telling everyone whoppers about non-existent job creation.

What taxes on the Big Hose? He got a huge property tax give away. Remember this used to be a Dollar Store that paid full Property taxes plus sales taxes. Now zero! Ray should have resigned in disgrace by now. Even the horrible People's Gazetto won't publish another opening date. A complete taxpayer ripoff.

If anyone notices, we have heard nothing about anything the plex is doing. The gazette usually will print 'something' about it, but not as of late. It gives the appearance that there is nothing progressing. Nothing moving forward.

The gazette ALWAYS had something printed at least once or twice a week. Now....nothing, unless I missed something.

Additionally, if you visit the Schenectady Metroplex web site, you will note that there have been no Board Meeting minutes published to the site since September 5th.

http://www.schenectadymetroplex.org/News/index.cfm?InstanceID=536

There has also been nothing posted related to the Fiscal Audit Committee or Governance Committee since
September 3rd.

http://www.schenectadymetroplex.org/ContentManager/index.cfm?Step=Display&ContentID=52

It appears that neither the NYS Comptroller's Office who is supposed to be conducting an audit of this public authroity nor the Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority have any accountability to the public.  The Metroplex has reduced opposition to its actions and decisions by eliminating transparency of their operations.
