So what if they have an intimate knowledge of REMS...and if you "figured" them out.  Does they render all their information incorrect or useless.  No!

Stop being so concerned with "outting" people and more concerened about the info they have to offer.

How about we privatize right across the board?  The above is taken from http://www.ruralmetro.com/products_fireservices.asp who provides private sector firefighting operations.  I'll be willing to bet there are other options for the privatization of fire departments as well. I'll bet that will really save us money.

Fire Departments and Ambulance service are two completely different services.  A fire department is a local government function to protect the town residents from collateral damage caused by fires and other major disasters.  A fire at a person’s home poses a threat to other homes in close proximity of the fire, and the fire department is there to mitigate collateral damages.  An ambulance service responding to a person having a cardiac arrest in no way shape or form mitigates collateral damage to the neighbor.  What Rotterdam is looking at doing is providing a specialized service to a small percentage of customers, paid for by the taxpayer.  And those who have ambulatory coverage in their health insurance policy will essentially be paying twice.

Nice Job MT!  Again, exposure of misinformation designed to promote an agenda!

Umm, no... MT gave bogus information to get JQP to tell the real information. So I guess MT exposed JQP's factual information. Only on this blog could one possibly be viewed a hero by providing INCORRECT information in order to get someone to provide factual information, and the fact teller be viewed the villain.

And we wonder why this town is such a mess.... Better question is who does MT work for that he knows this information? After all MT says only someone intimately familiar with EMS would know the facts...MT must work for Mohawk.... The lack of logic on this board is mind boggling.

here is a unique ability that i have.  i can put politics, emotions, and personal motives aside and make a decision with a clear head.

to take a trip to the hospital i can pay more taxes or not :  is it really any more complicated than that

if I have a heart attack right now:  paramedics which i already pay for will show up and shock me - then someobody else will show up and transport me to the hospital.

no matter who it is mohawk or rems - there will always at some point be a delay (accident, traffic, too many calls) or an error that unfortunately cost a life - that is LIFE, in the end we are all just humans doing a job...

Frank, when are you going to take a stand on this issue?  After petitions are submitted?  Oh, I know, GFP hasn't told you what your position is yet!

I don't know but when I looked at that jib jab video I saw a resemblance between Del Gallo and Salamone, and that made me wonder if they are related in any way, just like the other hapsburgs that say "NO RELATION" really fast and defensively! HAHAAA

Maybe it is just the hairdo, I don't know. Anyway, this has been interesting to read.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

We seem to have a whole bunch of fire departments in our town, many with extravagant quarters, a litany of very expensive firefighting vehicles, and a structure that allows them to set essentially their own tax rates.  I pay almost $300.00 a year for fire tax, and these departments have no payroll, as they are all volunteer.

In addition to receiving funding from established tax districts, volunteer fire departments apply for and receive state and federal grants and
member item money from elected leaders in NYS government.  The cost of these organizations to the residents is ultimately much higher than
the charges observed on one's property tax bill.

REMS is following the course chartered by the fire departments.  They are applying for grants, arguing for the creation of tax districts, and will no doubt
also look to elected officials for member item money in the future.

Where does it all end?

Gee, I wonder why they want to postpone this vote? Not one of them has the guts to say NO!. Frank is still with his finger up in the air? Another profile in courage-lol-

Taxpayers are taxed to their limit and we don't need another taxing districts. This includes the library trustee morons.

A taxing district for REMS is just a ridiculously bad idea. There isn't even a sensible, sane argument to support the idea! IMHO

lets recap shall we -

way back when -

the repubs wanted to expand paramedics/rems as an ALS/BLS service into hilltowns with a county wide tax - through county legislature  - FAILED - covenient way to potentially fund/expand rems

http://www.suhrada.com/paramedic.htm

then repubs with majority on town board with ST as super and GP as repub chair wanted to ram through taxing district to support rems - and we all know the results of that disaster - look were we are now.  So IMHO anyone assocaited with ST, GP, JS, etc.  wants this taxing district to go through - and quite possibly explains why JS ran for town board - since JM was against taxing district.   By association Frank Salamone wants this taxing district - his constant blabbing about fair and open elections - is political posturing from the fine school at 376 broadway.

Plus - look who was rejected by parisi's repub party recently and the stand they took???  coincedence??????

Repubs wanted this and Dems are chomping at the bit to spend the extra 120,000 that will be freed up after vote if it passes.

Another great post from Little Sal-not to be confused with the County moron Big Sal. This is another Metrograft mess. The REPS push it through and than the DEMS feast on it. Let the DEMS push it through they have the majority. Everyone for this now needs to step up and be counted.
