"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
fact---the system is imperfect at best fact---you get what you pay for fact---national healthcare is on the horizon fact---the politicians will stand at the podiums for this fact---capitalism is American fact---taxes are inevitable fact---death is inevitable fact---we always look for someone else to blame
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

ROTTERDAM Town paramedic squad lauded for providing high quality care BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter
Chris Carey couldn’t place the queasy feeling coursing through his body in late March. The 38-year-old registered nurse from Ellis Hospital hadn’t thought much of it when he got out of the shower. But when he collapsed at the top of the stairs in his Rotterdam home, his girlfriend decided to call 911. Three minutes later, Rotterdam paramedic Dean Romano arrived at his side and began taking quick action. Carey vaguely recalled the paramedic putting electrodes to his chest, shortly before he drifted into unconsciousness. “I don’t remember much,” he said of the incident. “But it was like they were right there.” Despite being in good physical shape and lacking nearly all of the risk factors, Carey had suffered a heart attack. “If they didn’t respond that promptly, I don’t know if I’d be here,” he said. And Carey isn’t the only one who noticed the high quality of urgent care delivered by the town’s paramedics. Schenectady County’s Emergency Medical Services Committee named them the advanced life support provider of the year recently. In addition, the committee awarded its annual leadership award to Rotterdam police Offi cer Keith Collins, who is director of the paramedics. Collins was appointed to his position two years ago and is credited with reinvigorating the town’s paramedic program during a time when it was facing uncertainty. In Rotterdam, the paramedics are civilian employees based at the town Police Department on Princetown Road. They ride in sport utility vehicles and are normally the first emergency responders at accidents or medical calls. In March 2007, a private consulting firm recommended the town merge the paramedics with the Rotterdam Emergency Medical Services Inc., a non-profit ambulance service. By doing so, the study suggested, Rotterdam would create a vastly improved first responder service. ...........>>>>............>>>>............http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....amp;EntityId=Ar01101
If myself or a loved one needed an ambulance and I thought the person had a catastrophic issue, I would most definitely call Mohawk.
As far as who is BLS and ALS, I believe all of Mohawk is ALS. What would make Rotterdam ALS is their paramedics. But they could not obviously be at all calls at the same time....when there is no time to waste.
Sorry folks, I still support Mohawk both for their fiscal proposal and for their ALS. We do NOT need another tax base or tax service in Rotterdam. Not when there is a private company who can meet the needs!

Then one should hope their insurance carrier pays for it....if not, be prepared to pay....which is actually cheaper than taxes.....
I would have to pay $100 if an ambulance was needed according to my insurance plan.
