Those intelligent folks with generous hearts and a strong sense of community-spirit  who wish to give contributions to REMS are free to do so and will  .. quite generously.   The ignorant, greedy folks whose only mission in life is to TEAR DOWN the community and don't want to give -- won't give.  It is as simple as that.

Yes and they will definitely need one...but they have a new lawyer...Terry Hannigan. I think Salamone knew this was explosive
and wanted out...who could blame him.

Talked to some rotterdam folks who received the same letter. They threw it out!! They said that Mohawk wouldn't have cost them A DIME!!! They were pi$$ed.

I'll tell ya.....they aren't too happy with their entire town board!

I've talked to a number of residents who are quite happy to make a voluntary contribution to REMS.  They value a good service and are quite generous with their support for community organizations.

Try talking to the people who are out of work or have taken a cut in pay to keep their jobs instead of just talking to your friends that work for the public sector.

You mean since the letter arrived yesterday, or since it was written two months ago???

Rotterdam EMS is a not for profit organization (in the same category as many other not for profits as their board is completely voluntary serving their community through REMS (and many other organizations).  As a 501(c)3 organization, they are entitled to solicit contributions in support of their organization and in service to their mission of serving the Town of Rotterdam.

I am sure that many citizens who appreciate their continued service to the town will make a tax deductible contribution to REMS.  Others will not contribute ... that is totally expected.

If nothing else, watching your explosive responses when things don't go your way, despite your amazingly non-subtle efforts at lobbying the members of the Town Board by acting as a 12 year old child encouraging her parents to buy her a doll for her birthday, is incredibly entertaining.

Your departure from the RTB meeting in Rotterdam Junction was classic as the door slammed behind you showing what little you understand about politics, public service and dedication to the community.
