Funny, in another thread, you told me you had no elected office aspirations.

Guess the wind is blowing in a different direction these days.  This'll be fun.

I said I had no current plans to run for elected office.   As for a few years down the road, I am not
afraid to face the voters here or wherever I might be living at that time.

Brad -- Thank you for keeping us informed!    And it is so apropos that one of last year's NNTP candidates has announced that Rotterdam residents WILL NOT allow a new taxing district.   I always said that you guys were just a year too early...the voters weren't quite ready for NNTP yet.  They are finally starting to get it!

Yer buddy clubhouse and Brad are living in the past Mobile.  I am looking towards the future and one more year without Shrek Tommasone and the hooligans he had running Town Hall while he reaped thousands from a no show job Pataki gave him.!

It's over........move on rotterdamians! Some of you have to stop wallowing in the perpetual political cesspool. In all due respect, you folks have to get over yourselves. Rotterdam New York will not cease to exist if some of you folks get rid of your huge egos. I promise!

Amen to that BT.  Good to see you hopping on the Revitalize Rotterdam train. Welcome aboard and wave goodbye to the evil Tommasone empire.

I'd like to throw out most people from the past few administrations, at least as long as I've been paying attention to politics, at all levels.

I think that the days of "Revitalize Rotterdam" have faded --- we are now ushering in the
new era  ... a New Horizon for Rotterdam.

BTW - I stayed away from Town Hall ---  but every report that I heard was that the polling set up was
horrible .. too crowded ... too confused ...  People were told in the letter to bring and ID - but no one asked
to look at the ID by the poll watchers.   Lines were too long -- and some people got frustrated and left.

On a positive note, my Aunts were warmly greeted by Assemblyman Amedore - who always goes out of his
way to remember them -  Thanks George ... even though you are a Republican .. you are still a nice guy.

The fact is that a LOT of people in Rotterdam are upset about the defeat of the ambulance tax district.
Some of you folks think you won a big victory --- but if we lose REMS and Mohawk screws up in Rotterdam
like it screwed up in Albany  (when they had NO ambulances around and the young boy died) ... the blame
will be placed squarely on the members of the Town Board who wanted the tax district to fail AND on
people like McGarry and Rhinesmith and the rest of you who campaigned against it.

Democracy spoke ... but we also know that the majority can be DEAD WRONG.   I hope and
pray that we don't have to lose lives before people realize the huge mistake made on December 14.

The mentality that I find amazing is the fact people are blaming residents for not granting a taxing district for a mis-managed, insolvent, Company.  REMS has the infrastructure already in place, they have the licence to operate in Rotterdam, they have been the ambulance provider for our Emergency Responders, AND THEY STILL COULDN'T MAKE IT WORK!

The fact is that while many residents - myself included - were not thrilled to have a new tax district .. we put
the VALUE of a local EMS provider OVER the desire to save a mere $15 to $25 a year on our tax bill.

McGarry, Mertz, KR and all those who opposed th tax district will be held accountable if the referendum
decision results in a decline in the quality of ambulance service and/or the senseless loss of a life if
an ambulance is no where near when needed.

just like the threats made against me and others who supported the tax district by  the "Just Say NO crowd" ..
all is fair in love, war and politics.
