like I said before the active attentiveness and timeliness of the clerks office (since it is the pinion on which the town spins)
is a GIANT important factor as to what this town has or has not.....
there are 2 choices in this
1. no one knew about the other bids(lost or what ever) we all know the grapevine INEPT?
2. everyone knew and made plans accordingly CROOKED?
SHOW ME THE $$ TRAIL
The FACT is that one of the other bids arrived AFTER the deadline and the other was delivered to the wrong place. You really are "grasping at straws" if you are trying to blame anyone at the town for the failure of these two bidders to submit their bids on time and to the right place. |

and I'm sure prior to bid arrivals the town was VERY active and open in the verbalizing of said wishes for the plaza.... |

Use Curry Road Plaza land for green space
Having driven past the blight on Curry Road for decades and reading the dysfunctional Rotterdam Planning Board’s plans for more apartments, banks and ugly strip malls. I’m proposing a green commons area. If you’ve been to The Crossings in the town of Colonie, you know what I’m proposing.
What’s really needed is a commons area for seniors, working residents and children for leisure time. A place for walking, with two overlapping oval footpaths — one with a fountain, the other with a child play area. Footpaths could have donated memorial family benches and trees to enhance the beauty of a park.
The Golubs gave us this land, let’s make the most of it. There was never an open public discussion as to what the residents want to do with it. Future generations of Rotterdam residents will appreciate the beauty, as so many other communities have enjoyed for years. We, the residents of Rotterdam, deserve nothing less.

isn't this the mystery of the century???.......would have been better to rebuild the Police Station, government offices, dispatch, and anything else......would have been done with and on to the next...
and the lumber company property.....is it true Golub will build apartments????????????????
